Today, the United States reported 46,821 cases of the novel coronavirus, down from 55,649 a week ago (Covid Tracking Project). That seven-day rolling average of cases continues its steady movement in the right direction.

We reported 1123 deaths today, down from 1181 a week ago. If you smooth out the daily jumps up and down by follow-ing the seven-day rolling average of deaths, that average has stayed stubbornly between 1000 and 1200 for twenty-five days now. But we're at 1015 right now, the lowest average in over three weeks, so maybe we're starting to head down in deaths now.

Time will tell. The usual graphs are attached.
