Today, the United States reported 55,594 cases of the novel coronavirus, up from 51,568 a week ago (Covid Tracking Project). Today we had more cases than we'd expect given recent trends, while yesterday we had less. So maybe some of the reports from yesterday got delayed to today. We'll just have to see how the rest of the week turns out.
We reported 1326 deaths today, up from 1176 ago, but all in all the last two weeks have seen very little movement in the death rate: a little up, a little down.
The usual graphs are attached.
