Today, the United States reported 71,027 new cases of the novel coronavirus, down just a shade from the [Correction: 71,233] reported a week ago (Covid Tracking Project). The rolling seven-day graph continues to look like it's kinda flattening out. We've now had six days without setting a new record.
On the other hand, we reported 1039 deaths today, up from 977 a week ago. This is the third day of 1000+ deaths after going quite a while with less than that.
The usual graphs are attached.
