Today, the United States reported 77,233 cases of the novel coronavirus, up from 66,645 a week ago (Covid Tracking Project). Today's number is the highest number of cases yet reported in a day.
We reported 951 deaths today, up from 854 a week ago. Using this week-to-week comparison method, deaths have been up 9 of the last 11 days.
