Today the United States reported 36,490 new cases of the novel coronavirus, up from 27,036 a week ago (Covid Tracking Project). We've had 277,280 new infections reported in the last seven days, the highest seven-day total yet.
We reported 332 deaths linked to Covid today, up from 285 a week ago.
