Today, the US reported 42,161 new cases of the novel coronavirus, up from 27,278 a week ago (Covid Tracking Project). We've had 267,840 cases of the novel coronavirus in the last week, which is the highest reported yet in a week.
We reported 273 deaths today, down from 297 a week ago. Today is the lowest number of deaths yet.
So it's more of that good-news, bad-news we've been getting.
