I've generally stopped giving coronavirus updates -- the information is all online for anyone who Googles it.

However, we're now at 145,000 cases a day, and the country has more people hospitalized with the virus than at any time before now. It is entirely possible that a new range of business closures is coming at some point, although it is very hard to predict that sort of thing.

However, if there is anything you wish you had done before the last shutdown, it might be time to do that before this next round. I'm not saying there will be a next round, because I don't have those kinds of future-predicting skills, but hospital room is filling up quickly.

Back in April, the highest number of people hospitalized with Covid at one time was 59,940. A month ago, we were at about 34,000, and now we are at over 65,000. Two days ago we were at 59,000.

If you are a restaurant or bar worker in the state of Ohio, I'm not saying anything for certain about what comes next, but it might be a good idea to think through what you would do for two to four weeks if your job disappears and the two political parties currently locked into combat over who won the election can't reach any kind of agreement to get you any financial help.

If you have school-aged children who are currently attending school in the state of Ohio, it may be a good idea to revisit what you plan to do if their school shuts down again and stays shut down for an extended period.

After a few more months have passed, we will likely not see things get this intense again till the next pandemic. But things may get worse before they get better.

Even if you think the virus is fake -- I don't -- it might be worth considering that things are getting intense again.

I wish you all nothing but the best, and look forward to having all this behind us. We will get all this behind us. We're just not there yet.
