Yes, the NET Bible is basically the work of Dallas Theological Seminary people

This article is going to get long, but it's basically just an attempt to double-check the assertion Michael Marlowe made back in 2006, that the NET Bible seems to be the work of faculty and students of Dallas Theological Seminary, a fact which it strangely does not clearly disclose anywhere I can see.

Below, first, is the list of members of the team of 25 individuals who, according to the preface of the NET Bible, were involved in producing the first edition of the NET. Many of the individuals have an institution listed beneath their name -- this is the institution that granted them the degree behind their name.

On first glance, it would appear that perhaps half of the team got their degrees at Dallas Theological Seminary.

The second list below is, in alphabetical order, a list of all the mentioned individuals who the Preface did not explicitly associate with Dallas Theological Seminary, followed by quotes showing what kinds of relationship (student and/or faculty) they had with DTS.

In all everyone except William Barrick (translator/editor) and Wayne Leman (consultant) turns out to have either been a student or employee of Dallas Theological Seminary. It is strange that neither the NET Bible nor Dallas Theological Seminary seem to have acknowledged in print the very close connection between this university. It is possible that such an acknowledgment occurs somewhere, but I have not seen it yet.
