Erratum
...

In one printing of the ASV a character named "Eliah the son of Helon" appears in Numbers 10:16. This appears to be a very simple visual error -- it should be "Eliab the son of Helon". This copy has a stamp in the front-matter indicating it was held by the University of Virginia Library, and is identified as a "Brevier 12mo" printing.

This error is not universal in ASV's -- here is one that doesn't have the same error. Here's another, better scanned, with cross-references in a center margin.

The text at ebible.org reads, correctly, "Eliab".

Non-errata

There is a marvelous website, bible-researcher.com, which, sadly, appears to have been abandoned around 2012. One of its pages is entitled "Errata Sheet for Electronic ASV Texts", and among other things it contains a list of errors that it alleges are in the version of the ASV hosted at ebible.org. This list claims to have been drawn up by one John Larocque in 2010. In September 2023, I spot-checked about twenty of its listed errors against the ASV text currently at ebible.org. It appears that ebible.org no longer contains these errors.
