Reform Judaism is a term for a religious movement within Judaism, existing existing in the United States and elsewhere, which, in contrast to Orthodox Judaism, has exhibited a much greater oppenness to the results of academic biblical studies and, theologically, to a variety of modern trends.
In some ways, Reform Judaism is to Orthodox Judaism as Mainline Protestantism is to Conservative Evangelicalism.
