Rabbinic Judaism refers to the sort of Judaism that is found in and has grown out trends of thought and practice embodied the Mishnah and Talmud. It comes after Second Temple Judaism, and all the major Jewish denominations today trace their origin to Rabbinic Judaism. It is contrasted with Karaite Judaism and various pre-rabbinic Judaisms.
