patah is a Hebrew vowel-marking, today read like the 'a' as in 'father' in Modern Israeli Hebrew. This means it's pronunciation is the same as a qamats gadol. A variant form, the hataf patah, is pronounced the same way.
If the Hebrew renders correctly, here is a patah beneath a bet: בַ.
