The term Old Testament, in Christianity, refers to those works which are considered part of the Bible but which are not part of the New Testament. For Protestants, the Old Testament contains the same works as the Hebrew Bible, while for Roman Catholics and the Eastern Orthodox various additional deuterocanonical works exist.
