The New English Translation is an evangelical translation of the Bible, which can be found online here. People are often confused about its copyright status for some reason -- it is by no means in the public domain.
Its chief advantage is that it has an absolutely enormous number of footnotes, that get down fairly deep into the linguistic issues involved in making a translation. Its chief drawback, as far as being useful academically, is that it is written from an ideologically evangelical perspective, but for an evangelical product it is pretty high-quality.
What is perhaps less well-known about it is that it is almost entirely the product of students and faculty of Dallas Theological Seminary.
