    • often in the phrase ʕśh nblh byśrʔl, i.e. do a thing disgraceful according to Israel's standard
    • also of inhospitable churlishness
    • of profane action
    • of senseless and irreligious language
  • 2. contumely, disgrace
    • Job 42:8, of Y', ʕśwt ʔmkm nblh, i.e. deal out to you disgrace, expose you and punish you as nblym (compare 2 Samuel 3:33, under nabal), because of your utterances about me.
