The New American Bible Revised Edition is a 2011 Catholic translation of the Bible, and is a revision, as one may guess from the name, of the New American Bible (1970). At this point, the NABRE has received approval from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, but has not yet been approved to replace the 1970 text in public worship. Work is ongoing to produce an edition which will, it is hoped, receive approval for use in the liturgy.
