Mikraot Gedolot is a term for Hebrew Bibles printed in a particular format, including traditional Jewish commentaries. You can read all about that on Wikipedia.
The first Mikraot Gedolot was printed by Daniel Bomberg in 1516-17, then a second edition, with some corrections, by Jacob ben Hayyim ibn Adonijah. Ben Hayyim's text was, in turn, used as a base text for the KJV.
Let me be honest; I pulled stuff from Wikipedia here.
