Leviticus is the third book of the Hebrew Bible, in order between Exodus and Numbers. Hopefully I will eventually find time to come back to this page and write something about it, but nothing I write will be as good as Mary Douglas's Leviticus as Literature.

Leviticus 17-26 are generally regarded as a distinct unit originally; they differ in style and outlook from the rest of the book.
