Larry Nelson is a name I see from time to time on electronic editions of the JPS 1917 English translation of the Hebrew Bible. He doesn't seem to have any other obvious web presence, although a number of copies of JPS floating around claim that he holds a copyright to the "electronic edition" of JPS 1917. My guess is that this is a legally dubious claim,[1] as my understanding is that no original authorship is involved in producing a computer transcript of an existing version, but I'll leave that be. Out of an abundance of caution, when making online transcripts of JPS I simply use a facsimile of the 1917 printing.
As with other pages migrated from biblicalambiguities.net, this page may contain material paraphrased or even outright copied without direct attribution from the KJV, RV, ASV, JPS (1917), WEB, NHEB, Kittel's BH, the pre-1923 volumes of the ICC series, or the commentaries on Genesis of Dillmann, Skinner, and Driver.
