And the name of the second was Gihon. It meanders through [or encircles] the whole land of Kush.
The river Gihon is mentioned only here, although flowing water by the same name is found near Jerusalem in another place. But this Gihon is in the land of Kush, which generally seems to be a dwelling-place of dark-skinned people south of Egypt, but might also here and there refer to some south Arabian people.
