August Dillmann was in his time (which ended in 1894) a major figure in biblical studies. In a strange twist of fate, the rise of copyright law has kept a lot of post-1923 commentaries off the internet, making old commentaries perhaps the only place an internet reader can go for detailed verse-by-verse exposition of the Bible from a critical perspective. (The alternate would be LibGen, which, depending on jurisdiction, may be illegal in some parts of the world.)
Of course, Dillmann is dated, but I haven't yet encountered a more comprehensive verse-by-verse and word-by-word sort of commentary on Genesis available online yet. You can find his commentary on Genesis 1-11 here, and 12-50 here.
