The Talmud Bavli, or Babylonian Talmud is the work more commonly referred to as the Talmud. The word Bavli is simply the Hebrew or Aramaic for Babylonian. It is sometimes called "the Bavli" to distinguish it from the Talmud Yerushalmi.
